As Principal Performance Director, my role involves leading a team of Performance Directors on projects focused on customer engagement capabilities. These can be with commercial teams such as KAMs, sales representatives or with medical teams such as MSLs or Medical Affairs Managers. We also work on building leadership, management and coaching capabilities for line managers.
The importance of my role for healthcare science depends on achieving the above. If we get this right and build/develop such capabilities, the quality of client company teams’ engagement with healthcare professionals is better, making better use of their time with higher quality engagement and discussion around the relevant disease area or product, which ultimately leads to improvement in healthcare and the quality of patients’ lives.
